A flat, textured platform for the bird cage that invites chewing and resting.

Bird cages often lack varied surfaces that, alongside normal perching, also satisfy the natural urge to chew. This bird toy for budgerigars and other small birds brings a flat, ridged surface into the enclosure that encourages exploration and chewing. The top layer is fitted with small recesses and inserts that help with searching for food or simply pecking with the beak. Thanks to the simple fitting with a metal screw and wing nut, the board can be attached to most common cage bars.

Why is this chew platform so popular?

  • Encourages natural behaviour: The textured surface made from corrugated cardboard encourages pecking, chewing and exploring.
  • Alternative perch: A flat surface offers birds' feet variety compared with the usual round bars.
  • Simple fitting: With the integrated wing nut, the board can be fixed quickly to the cage bars.
  • Includes activity details: Small inserts in the surface challenge the bird's dexterity.
  • Various sizes: Available in two dimensions to suit the available space in the cage.
