Installation
The TimberTidy coat rack offers two installation methods, allowing you to choose between adhesive mounting and traditional drilled installation depending on your wall surface and intended use.
Option 1: Installation Without Drilling
A practical solution for suitable surfaces when you prefer not to drill holes.Thoroughly clean the mounting surface, ensuring it is dry and free from dust and grease.
-
-
Remove the protective film from the adhesive mounting strip.
-
Position the coat rack at your preferred height and location.
-
Press the rack firmly against the wall to ensure proper adhesion.
-
Allow the adhesive to set for 12-24 hours before hanging items.
-
Suitable surfaces: Smooth, clean, non-porous surfaces such as tiles, glass, metal and compatible finished surfaces.
Avoid: Rough, uneven, porous, wallpapered or unstable surfaces.
Option 2: Installation With Drilling
A more secure mounting method, particularly suitable for frequently used coat racks or heavier everyday items.
- Hold the coat rack against the wall and mark the drilling positions.
- Drill the required holes and insert suitable wall plugs.
- Secure the rack using appropriate screws and fixings.
- Ensure the rack is level and firmly attached before hanging any items.
Tip: Adhesive mounting is generally better suited to lightweight accessories and compatible surfaces. For heavier coats, bags or regular use, drilled installation is recommended for additional stability.
